Me and my family, Ringo Starr and about 50,000 others were there at 20:08 to start the celebrations. It was an impressive show on and around St George’s Hall.

It lasted just over half an hour and was LOUD and visually stunning with acrobats, choirs and big screen videos.
Usually its hard to get a good view at big events like this, but there were no such problems here as most of the action took place high up on the buildings surrounding the Hall.

Wombats were good, dare I say better than Ringo !

Nice food in Kimos as well.

What a night . Looking forward to the rest of 2008 celebrations.
